Premier Association Management has been named a 2017 Corporate Philanthropy Award Honoree by the Orlando Business Journal. The Lake Mary-based community management company is in a unique position to see the daily financial struggles many families experience, and they are doing something about it.
In 2010, company President Gina Holbrook was approached by a single mother who was living in one of the communities managed by Premier and had lost her job battling stage 3 breast cancer. She was unable to provide food for her children and in danger of losing her home because she was behind on her HOA fees. Frustrated with the inability to assist this mother, as well as many other families with financial struggles, Gina decided she had to make a difference. With the backing of the entire Premier staff, Gina formed the Premier Gives Back Foundation and the company's culture was instantly changed.
Whether a resident is elderly, sick or jobless the foundation has assisted more than 200 families with HOA and utility payments, lawn care and maintenance services, and food gift cards. Each year the staff at Premier hosts several fundraisers to raise money, with 100-percent of the funds raised going directly to assist families. This year alone more than 62 families were impacted through the foundation.
For its contributions, Premier Association Management was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as an honoree for their 2017 Corporate Philanthropy Award.
